As a forces child (RAF), I lived in places all over the world – from Singapore to Middlesex, Libya to East Anglia, Germany to Yorkshire, Padstow to Forres.

Following on from my well-travelled childhood came a hugely varied career: waitressing, accounting, teaching – English, Drama, Personal and Social Development or Sex ‘n Drugs ‘n Rock ‘n Roll as we liked to call it – Project Managing, Marketing Consulting and more! Ended up as a Chartered Director on the Board of a nationally recognised company.

Writing was a feature of much of my working life but I always, always wanted to have a go at fiction. With work, travel and bringing up a family, I just never had the time. Now my kids are grown, I’ve left full-time work and, with the support of my wonderful husband, my time is split between my two great loves: singing – jazz, swing, blues and folk – and writing fiction.

I have so many stories I want to write in all sorts of genres but have started with Romance – Erotic Romance. I like creating male characters that I fall in love with, whether they are damaged and need healing, arrogant bad boys who have hidden hearts of gold or bitten cynics who need to learn to trust again. My female characters might also be damaged, but they are strong, determined, fiercely independent individuals with protective facades underneath which they can, of course, be easily hurt. Then, I like setting them in places I know pretty well, like London, New York, Las Vegas, and letting them dictate how the story goes – as long as it’s all about them! I started with standalones, but my characters had minds of their own and have taken me down the Series road already! To start with, look out for ‘Rosie’s Rules’, about she of the velvet voice, a printed set of relationship rules and a stable of F* Buddies who follow them! And ‘Stranger Danger’, a chance encounter in a foreign country brings two emotionally battered souls together in a passionate collision, but can they overcome the obstacles that their pasts present and find their way to happiness with each other?
