Betrayal

The Breton Horse Warriors series

 Book Three

Betrayal

It is 1078. The world of legendary Horse Warrior Luc De Malvais and his brother Morvan is turned upside down as families are suddenly torn apart.

King William faces threats and betrayal from all sides, especially from his eldest son, Robert. King Philip of France is waiting for an opportunity to invade Normandy and separate it from England. Robert gives Philip of France that chance when he suddenly goes to war against his father William, and the Malvais brothers find themselves caught up in that rebellion.

Suddenly Luc and Morvan find themselves unexpectedly pitted against each other on opposing sides. Luc’s family is at grave risk as they become embroiled in rebellions and old feuds. Morvan finds himself torn when it comes to his loyalty to his King and family, especially with his all-consuming but dangerous and forbidden love for Constance, the daughter of King William. He knows that King William will kill him if he finds out that he has made love to Constance.

Meanwhile, darker forces in the Vatican and the French Court work together to manipulate Morvan and the King’s son Robert to try and drive William out of Normandy. Morvan now has to decide whether to risk his life and alienate his family by fleeing with Constance or have his heart broken by watching her marry someone else. Can the famous Horse Warrior Luc De Malvais save both his brother and the King? Or are the forces ranged against King William now too powerful?
